A busy year for Scanship with ship deliveries

2016 will be a busy year for Scanship with commissioning and start up as six (6) larger cruise ships equipped with Scanship technology will enter service.

Scanship AWP will be commissioned and undergo third party compliance test on RCCL’s Ovation of the Seas, RCCL’s Harmony of the Seas, Viking Sea, Dream Cruises newbuild Genting Dream, Carnival Vista and TUI’s Mein Schiff 5. All the systems are complaint with the IMO Marpol MEPC 227(64), while the majority of the vessels will comply also with chapter 4.2 of the standard removing the nutrients phosphorous and nitrogen.

The Viking Sea will also be delivered with a total waste management system from Scanship with incinerator, vacuum foodwaste processing equipment and a system for dewatering and drying off all bio residues from food and wastewater.

In the years to come, further 16 cruise newbuilds are already scheduled to enter service with Scanship systems.
